I was really disappointed with this tea strainer. The design is cute at first glance, but the quality is not there. It doesn’t stand up straight, which makes it awkward and messy to use. On top of that, there is visible glue around where the decorative animal piece is attached. That’s especially concerning since it’s coming into contact with hot water—I don’t feel comfortable wondering what might be leaking into my tea.
Overall, it feels cheaply made and not safe for something that’s meant to be used with boiling water. I would not recommend this product and definitely wouldn’t purchase it again.
I’m really happy with this tea steeper. The build quality is excellent - it feels solid and well made, like something that will actually hold up over time rather than fall apart after a few uses. The design is cute and the floating feature is a nice touch! It sits right in the mug and works well. It has a good capacity, too, so it handles all kinds of blends without any issues. It is also super easy to clean and it doesn't hold on to stains or smells.
Whether you're already into loose leaf tea or just getting started, this is a great little tool to have. Would definitely recommend!
